I hope everyone survived the holidays intact. If you didn't eat too many rich desserts or fill up the credit cards to the bursting point you should be in good shape to take on the new year.
And if you over indulged -- tomorrow's another day. The diet or the new budget will be painful but eventually effective.
If you have neglected your cheeky little devil over the holidays, now is the time to return on track. Put back in the daily walk and the evening treat time. Soon your small dog will stop giving you those dirty looks and cease taking his revenge out on the cat. This is much easier to implement than diets and budgets and you will see quicker results as well!
I spent most of December in Australia, and took lots of videos. See below for details.
I got the final proofs back for the new book "Dogs 101: Yorkshire Terriers" -- they look great and have illustrations and pictures which add nice value to the content.
One of my biggest pleasures of writing this was to be able to reminisce about my own Yorkie Robbie. As you will see, he was the original cheeky little devil!
The Brooksville shows take place January 14 - 23 this year -- they are a marathon of 10 shows in 11 days. I have been asked again to do the Group 1 Trophies for the Clearwater Kennel Club shows January 14 and 22; I will do original portraits of all the winners, 14 portraits in all. I'm going to be busy but it's a real pleasure to have such lovely breed examples as my subjects.
With the holidays over, it can be easy to forget that cards can really make a friend's day or give them a well needed laugh any time of year.
The Bergstrom Gallery has been renamed The PawPrint Gallery -- thanks to my sister Lucy for the great name! In the upcoming month, the Gallery will be available directly on the website and there will be lots of new products available, including Funny Dog, Funny People teeshirts and our famous "Put A Sock On It"
I've posted lots of new stuff last month and have done some updates and revisions as well.

Greeting Cards Are For More Than Just the Holidays
Christmas is over. Why should you bother about dog cards?
Think of it this way. A beautiful card sent to say "thanks" or to tell a friend you care never goes out of season.
I am in the process of setting up the PawPrint Gallery directly on the website. Until that happens, you can click on the link below to get your cards.
And if I don't yet have your breed or you'd like a custom card made from your photograph, I can easily do that. A custom portrait costs just $100.00. Then cards are just 10 for $15.00. No shipping and handling! Go to
The PawPrint Gallery.
to order via PayPal. Or email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell me what you are looking for.
Here is my upcoming schedule. If I am heading for your neck of the woods, let me know! Some dates may change slightly as the trip approaches. I will update the calendar in future newsletter issues.
