Dog grooming is an art form, requiring a good eye, steady hand and years of practice. Some of the work the professionals do is truly amazing.
However, simple grooming of your small dog at home may not be quite as hard as you think. I can show you how.
I am not pretending to give in a few pages the same level of expertise hard won at grooming school, but most small breeds can be surprisingly easy to keep polished and good looking.
For example, you could think that a Yorkshire Terrier would be impossible to groom without years of experience, but while the grooming of a Yorkie in full coat can be time consuming, it's really not that hard, IF:
1. You have the right equipment, and
2. You have some simple and easy to learn techniques of how to groom them.
Basically, it's not rocket science.
Even if you do decide to go with a groomer, don't you think it'd be a good idea to know enough so you could see if they were doing a good job?
